Women's Trail Festival

Weekend Itinerary:

Friday, June 14th:

Early Afternoon: Informal shake-out runs and early check-in for participants staying at Black Rock Mountain State Park.

Afternoon: Check-In / Happy Hour at Wander North Georgia with Mirna Valerio. Dinner on your own in downtown Clayton!

Saturday, June 15th:

Morning: Meet in downtown Clayton at The Rock House. The facility will be open all day offering refreshments, snacks, restrooms, and a secure place to store belongings and hang out!

  • Optional Morning Yoga/Stretching

  • Ongoing shuttle from The Rock House (downtown Clayton) to Warwoman Dell Trailhead

  • Group runs at trailhead on Bartram trail: 3-10 miles options. The course is an out and back, and it features several waterfalls in the first 2 miles! Turn around after a few miles, or head up to the top of the mountain for a beautiful summit view. Participants are free to run as little or as much as they like.

  • Bring your lunch, or head back into town and hit up Clayton’s excellent restaurant options! We will have aid station snacks, and there will be coolers on site to store lunches. Trailhead has a large picnic area and a pit toilet.

  • Workshops TBD at trailhead and in downtown Clayton throughout the day

Afternoon: The fun moves from the trails to downtown Clayton! An early dinner will be provided, and the Women Who Wander Panel Discussion will follow!

  • Showers available for participants at Your Time Fitness (675 North Main Street) and Clayton Health and Fitness (69 Seed Tick Rd), just bring your own towel and toiletries!

  • Shuttles to and from trailhead, workshops and group runs will continue into early afternoon.

  • Dinner is provided!

  • Women Who Wander Panel Discussion - A incredible group of female athletes, entrepreneurs, leaders, and adventures will join us for a celebratory night cohosted by Wander North Georgia! Mirna Valerio will keynote.

Sunday, June 16th:

Morning: We will meet at the top of Black Rock Mountain state park and enjoy breakfast together at an iconic overlook.

  • Meditation and journaling led by Michelle and Kenya of Outdoor Journal Tour

  • We will snag a group photo followed by a group run/hike and summit of Black Rock Mountain with options to stay longer and explore up to 12 more miles of trail!
